La Foret Villefranche - in the heart of the Dordogne - is set in 7 acres of gardens and paddocks, is surrounded by forest and comprises the Gîte with a king size bed, and an additional self-contained Apartment.

The Gîte is a short distance from the owners house, has its own private entrance and secluded deck area and is set in a peaceful private setting overlooking woodland. It has a large double bedroom, lounge, dining area, kitchen and shower room.
If you book the Gîte the Apartment would be vacant, and the pool would remain exclusively for the gîte guests.

The Apartment is completed in 2020 and is in addition to the lovely Gîte. The Apartment has a double bed and sleeps two people. It is finished to a high standard, and has a lovely contemporary feel, within the 200 year old stone barn. The deck gives a quiet area to eat and relax, with views over the paddock.
The Apartment is only available for rental in conjunction with the Gîte, meaning a total of four friends or family could holiday together at La Foret, whilst still having a private accommodation space.

The heated swimming pool is 11 metres by 5 metres and is secluded with a paved surround. There are plenty of wonderful restaurants offering local food such as confit-duck and the much heralded Cahors wine. Cahors wine region is a stones-throw away, and wine can be bought directly from the local vineyards. A great way to try the region’s wine.

The Gîte and the Apartment are only rented per week. The booking price includes the tourist tax and 1 basket of wood; additional baskets are available.
