It has taken 3 years of thorough restoration of this Casona de Indianos from the beginning of the last century. Priority was given to preserve and enhance all representative features, some modernist ones like floors, French cement floor, stained glass, hand sculpted wooden decorations and staircase. All of this resulted in this small rural hotel.

La Casona del Viajante is nestled in La Villa Baxu, a small location within the council of Pilona, in the Sueve county. The hotel is located in the center of the Picos de Europa Natural Parks, Redes, Ponga and the protected spaces of the Villaviciosa River and Cueva del Sidron; bordering with Cider County also it is 30 min from Oviedo and Gijon. All of this makes of the small boutique hotel the ideal spot to get to know the center and east of Asturias.

The two top bedrooms are small lofts with a lounge area; another bedroom of the first floor has a private open sun deck. Besides these 3 rooms, La Casona del Viajante offers six double bedrooms in keep with the original design of the Casona but with all modern comforts.
