The Tower is located at the estuary of the Westerschelde, one of the busiest sea routes.
The sea ships actually pass by within a stone's throw. Since 1974 a restaurant has been established in this monument where you can enjoy culinary delights at a high level. Recently you can spend the night in the ‘Gevangentoren’ (= former prison tower) in a luxury suite.
From your bed you have a fantastic view of the ‘Westerschelde’ and the boulevard through the four windows. You can also go outside and walk on the merlons all around the spire and have a magnificent view. In clear weather you can even see the skyline of Knokke (Belgium) and the ports of Vlissingen and Terneuzen.
During a stay in Vlissingen you can for example visit the Maritime MuZEEum, cinema Cine City XXL or the statue of Michiel de Ruyter. Everything is a short walk from the suite.
You can reach the suite by the beautiful 80-step old staircase, because of the monumental building there is unfortunately no elevator. The suite is therefore not suitable for disabled people.
The price for an overnight stay for two persons includes breakfast. You will get the current price at the time of your booking.
